I'd like to think most people on here will agree that this is a deplorable act, and that we all wish both the PC, whose injuries are described as life threatening, and the PCSO, all the very best.

Until of course it comes out that the human rights of the knife carrying scumbag were abused.

started with an argument over a bus ticket aparently, all very stupid. only about 10 minutes walk from me in what's normally a pretty pleasant high st. apparently the injuries aren't as bad as first feared, at least.

That's a relief, i do wish they would give coppers thicker leather gloves or a small mesh weave gloves that make knifes less effective against your hands (means they can block it better ).

GHG : You didn't see teh story yesterday of teh 18 year old man who was trying to defend his mum against a knife wielding mentally disturbed man . He was cleared and the man who killed his mum was a judged to have been killed lawfully ? Human rights work both ways you know.
