As a 16 year old, Clasford Stirling was quoted as saying, "Peggy Lokando is the most naturally gifted player I've ever seen. Even at the age of 10 he was so confident in his ability, his balance, his turn of pace - it was just poetry. I saw him after he'd been on the bench for the reserves against Palace last month and he was absolutely beaming. I just hope he can keep his feet on the ground."

I'm guessing he didn't keep his feet on the ground!! Went from making no appearances at Arsenal, to making no appearances with us, loaned to Dagenham where he made no appearances and then did the rounds of non league football. He's now at Brentwood Town in the Isthmian League Division One North and from what I can see, is even struggling to make their side.

God knows what went so drastically wrong for the boy!

I saw him playing in the reserves alongside Moussa in central midfield many years ago. He looked a much better prospect than the Moose back then but he just couldn't take it further. I think he did make one appearance for us, as 10 minute substitute, maybe in the football league trophy match, but I seem to recall he was incredibly nervous. Perhaps that was his problem.
