Pettefer

Anyone know the pettefer situation? Where is he? Haven't seen any reference to him on here on the official site.

I have to say he must be rather miffed going from ever-present to nowhere (though he may well still have his shoulder injury?) He could certainly do a very good job for someone in CM in League 2 at least, though no chance of getting in front of Maher, Gutts or Benters (or Smith) there, plus it looks like we'll be sticking to orthodox wingers now with the signing of JC-R alongside Cole and Gower....

Personally I think we've been playing better with both Cole and Gower on the wings as opposed to one of them + Petts, even though he did a good job on the right last term.

Still, I'm sure he'll be here 'till the end of the season anyhow.

Yer was extremely surprised by that. Possibly Spinner didn't play because they don't wanna risk him?! Purely speculating though.

i agree he aint the most attacking, but he's a good squad player and i can see him being useful this season at closing games off when we are 1-0 2-0 up, especially to keep our wingers fresh

With JCR signing i can see Petts barely figuring at all this season. He didn't do a great deal last term and am convinved he's an average L2 player and thus isn't up to the standards in L1 ...
