Has anyone else noticed that when we lose, Brown comes out with "it wasn't about systems".....but yet when we win he's very quick to highlight the new system he's implemented having worked on it in training all week?!
Utter nonsense. I've never known a manager over complicate a game of football like Phil Brown does.
Please just go now and take your ego with you. Time for a new boss who's proud to manage our club and who let's his players express themselves.

I've noticed he rarely takes personal responsibility for a defeat, the first home game of the season v Walsall he did admit that he got the team wrong and I respected him for it. Sadly he seems to have resorted to his 'big ego' type and every defeat since he has blames either the players or the ref.

He never takes responsibility - nicked a promotion and initially instilled professionalism and organisation within the club, but it's been a boring journey culminating in him trying to force a sacking.

I don't know why we tinker with systems so much anyway. We have played a variety of different tactical formations this season and the players do not seem to understand what their roles are within them. If you take today as an example, it is clear that the three central midfield players had absolutely no idea where they needed to be and the result was that the opposition walked through the midfield multiple times. Surely at this level, consistent tactics where every player knows their role inside out would be a better option.

It's the tinkering of systems and the way he throws his toys out of the pram by making 4-6 personnel changes after each loss. Basically he deflects the blame from himself in any way possible

After all this time he still doesn't know his best 11 or best starting formation..!

I would go as far as saying he doesn't even know 7/8 of his best XI. As for his awful additions this season, god help us if he is happy with his summer recruitments. If Piggott, O'Neill and McLaughlin are your main targets then I worry

Not so long ago, we were demanding changes.
He has struggled to find his best team, because the players brought in this season were no better than last season.
Tables rarely tell lies, we are a good league 2 team hanging on now in a higher division!

Surely we're a mid table league one side???????

IMO the problem lies in constant tinkering. Previous example is Gary Hooper..was played as a winger ?? Didn't have opportunity/position to score many..crowd got his back, lost confidence...cheerio.

Buy a bloody striker, realise his assets, support and play to them !!!

Brown doesn't know how to get the best from strikers and that is where he fails.
To be fair no one else got anything much from Mooney, Barnard, Pigott, Barnett. Can't be bothered to list others.
I suspect Corr did well despite Browns tactics.

Not if you go on the recent form, and if nothing improves, we face a relegation.

You've completely contradicted yourself in your last 2 posts.

That also applies to Burton on recent form.

Why was Worral on the left against Oldham, but looked far better on the right the week before when he was cutting in and scored?

He played on the right against Oldham.

Sometimes he switches wings during the game, for a time, but primarily he played on the right and McLaughlin on the left.

Most of the second half he was on the left, only a few times on the right....

IIRC correctly, he switched when McLaughlin went off.

PB does switch players around during the game, to change things up.

He was definitely bombing down the right in the first half, as he was right in front of us in the East Bank.
