Echo News Phil Brown holds more talks with squad as Southend United bid to bounce back

Seeing as he turned up here with a long term injury and played all his games at half pace until the end of season. Now rinsing the club for good money, preventing other signings but has a fan club.......Yes, he must be shaking his head in disbelief.
Rigsby, is he really rinsing the club for good money? The manager declared Akinola "not his cup of tea" and is not playing him, a luxurious choice given the plight of the club. As for arriving with a long-term injury, it is the responsibility of the club not to sign such players.

So they have had two heart to heart rollicking's in the first 5 games, that doesn't bode well does it? Game number 6, loose 3-1 to Aldershot (who haven't won a game before today) whats he going to do tonight? hold them tight and kiss them??

3-2*

Brown is a bit like Evander Holyfield, in that he appears to have made a good living from his chosen sport, continues to talk a good game, certainly looks the part but there is nothing behind the facade on game day. Their heyday appears to have long since gone and tonight PB looked as clueless, helpless on the touchline as Holyfield did in the ring and they both equally sounded the same in the post match/fight interview

Evander Holyfield (born October 19, 1962) is an American former professional boxer who competed between 1984 and 2011. He reigned as the undisputed champion at cruiserweight in the late 1980s and at heavyweight in the early 1990s, and remains the only boxer in history to win the undisputed championship in two weight classes in the three belt era. Nicknamed "the Real Deal", Holyfield is the only four-time world heavyweight champion, having held the unified WBA, WBC, and IBF titles from 1990 to 1992, the WBA and IBF titles again from 1993 to 1994, the WBA title a third time from 1996 to 1999; the IBF title a third time from 1997 to 1999 and the WBA title for a fourth time from 2000 to 2001. So as stated, never achieved much.

indeed he was absolutely amazing, but I assume you didn’t see his ‘comeback’ at the weekend?

The point is that he has lost it - PB has lost it as well
