Construction is under way & Southend will hopefully be playing in a new stadium by the end of next year says boss Phil Brown on #lifespaitch

Well thats a load of nonsense then isnt it.

Certainly constructions isnt underway.

Hopefully the rest of it has some truth.

Phil Brown said he has a copy of a programme in his office from about 27 years ago talking about a new stadium at Sutton Road :sad::sad:

Not sure if it was the 70's when there was talk of a new stadium but I remember in 1985 there was talk of a new stadium and here we are almost 30 years on and still all there is now is just talk of a new stadium.
