love the strong Bolton accent on the commentary.

PB made his Bolton debut at RH when they invaded the pitch. There is footage somewhere.

Remember that pitch invasion. We won 2 nil didn’t we?
I wasn’t brave enough to get over the wall to meet them mind!
That was my first match without parents - Phil Brown did play well - But standing in the North Bank I did think they were going to kill us!

Only just discovered that Pune City went out of business after the 2018/19 season "due to prolonged financial and technical troubles". They were replaced in the Indian Super League by Hyderabad FC, and Phil Brown transferred with them! That's some 340 miles away. But Hyderabad are currently bottom of the ten team league, with five points from nine games. Average home attendances around 9,000. See more at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2019–20_Hyderabad_FC_season.

Their Twitter page has some photos of Phil in action, here especially (with amusing praise):

I did speak to his lady friend the other day. Sounds like they have fun in India. Unlike at Southend, I guess she cant understand the insults and abuse sitting in the Pune main stand

Def not as the club’s gone out of business:

If Sol walked, I would have him back in a flash.

And the man who would have taken us back down again...

That maybe so, but for getting us out of that league there is no one better. Notice we have been in constant decline since he left. Coincidence? Maybe but not likely.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing and I did think it was the right time for him to go, I did think Powell was the right man to replace him. Looking back now I think we should’ve given Brown more of a chance. Maybe we wouldn’t be where we are now. He obviously had control of those billy big bollocks players causing issues in the dressing room. Maybe he would’ve had the balls to ship them out and keep the dressing room happy. The players under Brown were fit and played with passion. Something we haven’t had since he left!

His position was undermined when he publicly begged for the Sunderland job, then slated the players after the Yeovil defeat. The players wanted him out after that.
