Pirate Miller Turns Down Shrimpers Bid

Guest

It was confirmed earlier this evening that Southend made an approach for Bristol Rovers 'keeper Kevin Miller, who Tilly rates as the best in the 3rd Division.

Alas, it turned out that "we couldn't afford him.", referring to the wage Miller's on at Rovers, rather than a transfer fee.

It appears that Tilly and Brush have made the goalkeeper the highest priority for strengthening, especially with the departure of Ryan Robinson.

Well, if Miller doesn't want to be part of a promotion winning team next year, and play in Cardiff to lift the LDV... that's his problem.

Good keeper as I mentioned earlier in the week. If thats the calibre we are going for, I'd be well chuffed. I still rate Flavs, so getting another '1st team' keeper in would be great for competition.

Wonder if Flavs will sign a new deal if we sign a keeper for the No.1 Jersey.... bet he leaves, with Peterboro my guess at his destination.
