Batsman of the year

OD

Jefferson- ave 147.14, runs 1030
Allan - ave 84.1, runs 841
Perry - ave 111.4, runs 557

Honorable mention to Sagren, ave of 60.75

FC

Jefferson- ave 152.13, runs 1217
Allan - ave 93.14, runs 652
Perry - ave 64.64, runs 711

Honorable mention to Francis, ave 66.83

Clearly, with over 1000 runs in both OD and FC, Jeffers takes the crown.

Bowling is closer:

OD

Allan, wickets- 45, average, 9.56
Van Neeky, wickets 38, average 11.92
Mccafferty, wickets 29, ave 12.86

FC

Allan, wickets 25, ave 4.92
Van Neeky, wickets 40, ave 5.48

Van Neeky has more wickets, Allan has better average.

However, Neeky wins on economy rate - 3.41 (OD) and 1.28 (FC) versus 3.77 (OD) and 1.31 (FC). Plus he hit 23 not out in one FC game

So - best bowler, Van Niekerk

Best youngster - Mccafferty, in only first season, and only strong/strong, takes third best bowler in ODm beating Hoult quality/proficient and Nethercott superb/superb

Player of the season - Jefferson - consistently brilliant.

Batters

OD

Evelyn 847 runs @ 70.58
Pollock 753 runs @ 53.79
Schoeman 484 @ 44.00
Nagendranath 461 @ 41.91

FC

Evelyn 1095 runs @ 78.21
Pollock 863 @ 50.76
Nagendranath 566 @ 37.73
Schoeman 300 @ 75.00

Batter of the Year - Evelyn

Bowlers

OD

Schoeman 26 wickets @ 27.38
Singh 26 wickets @ 25.35
Asher 25 wickets @ 25.64
Begg 21 wickets @ 17.19

FC

Asher 30 wickets @ 13.80
Singh 25 wickets @ 20.72
Begg 20 wickets @ 25.25

Bowler of the year - Asher (but an honourable mention to trainee Begg)

Player of the Year - No real standout, but Schoeman did well in all forms of the game, so probably him.

Batting goes to Sandy, Richie was unsurprisingly top run scorer but Sandy flourished in his new number 5 position, averaging over 60 in both OD and FC.

Bowling wise it's Schofield, didn't out wicket Suthers but his combined OD/FC average was a smidge lower which is impressive given that he's 2 levels below him.

batsman: Horsfield: 1130 runs in FC (188.33) 506 in OD (101.20). Sookram a close 2nd.

bowler: Harmison: 26 wickets in FC (19.46), 31 in OD (16.39). Cairns took over 50 wickets in FC but let down by some poor OD performances.

POTY: Barnes - the allrounder came of age this year and won us several games in our first season in OD IV. OD averages were 135.00 with the bat (405 runs, 4 50's), and 18.82 with the ball (28 wickets, best figures of 6-37).

YPOTY: Hamilton. already has a BT20 century and a OD 50 to his name, and set to develop into a class opening bat.

OD - Batting:
Swayne - 706 runs @117 avg
Last - 522 runs @ 65 avg
Bob Birkett - 496 runs @ 71 avg

Bowling:
No stand out player really. Brook leads the way with 15 with Shashidhar, Sharma and Mcgouran on 14 and N.Williams on 13.

Honourable mention to 17yo Bowditch with 10.

FC - Batting:
S. Williams - 1159 runs @ 193 avg
Bob Birkett - 919 runs @ 153 avg
Swayne - 717 runs @ 90 avg (first time in a while Swayne hasn't topped the batting charts)

Bowling:
Shashidhar - 52 wickets @ 6.5 avg
Sharma - 30 wickets @ 23.1 avg
Brook - 26 wickets @ 21.6 avg

POTY - Not much in it but POTY goes to Bob Birkett for being the most consistent player over all the formats playing 38 matches, scoring 2092 runs at 83.7 avg, 6 100s and 12 50s, strike rate of 102.7 and taking 91 catches and 13 stumpings.

Second place goes to Shashidhar for his FC bowling. Four fifers and two tenfers bowling me to victory in our more difficult matches this year. His best season with the ball by far.
