Apparently, there are some within the Club who think I am over critical!

So, just to balance things out, I want to say a huge "well done" to everyone involved in the Sponsors' Evening last night. The organisational side was well handled - apart from a few missing shirts! - the players were relaxed, and are now, hopefully, enjoying a day of R&R and the boss was "on form". Been a while since I've been to the Rendesvouz, and I have to say the food was excellent as well.

I know there were a few Zoners there in various guises, so maybe some photos in due course. We sat with John Egan and Jack Payne, who were great company, both lovely young men.

Thanks to everyone, a thoroughly enjoyable evening, and, in my opinion, so much better than going over to B&L for "lunch" and then getting your shirt in a plastic carrier bag.

Nah, you're just imagining it, no one on here ever thinks you are over critical:smile:

I must concur with OBL it was a very good evening and many of the playing staff said that they too had enjoyed it.

A big thumbs up to all in the commercial department and also Junior for getting this together.

Junior? He left a long time ago, Ken!

I wasn't told it was happening, anything happen with Ben Coker ?

In what way? He was there, he was on form, as kingSHRIMPER says above, he sat with them, John White and Will Atkinson. Was he the Zone's sponsor?

He means Junior as he works at the casino ... !!

:nope::hilarious:

We sat with Michael Timlin and Marc Laird. Two really nice guys.
Good of Phil Brown to turn up and say a few words, if though he buggered off @ 9pm!
Good night, appropriate venue for the occasion.

Does he? Well, I didn't see him anywhere there last night, it was all Tom, Ryan and the girls from Commercial doing all the work on the night, and a very good job they did!

Would like to agree with others on here. We sat with Ryan Leonard and Marc Laird both of whom were really nice and very easy to talk to. As previous posters have said it was a thoroughly enjoyable evening.

I thoroughly enjoyed the evening. I sat with Anthony Straker. He was a perfect "host" and very good company. He has moved his family to Southchurch and is hoping to be offered a new contract for next season.

Yeh thats correct, he lives 3 doors down from me

As others have all said, it was a top evening and well done to all involved at the Club for organising it so well

We were very fortunate to be sitting with Barney and as Jamar Loza was unfortunately not able to make it his worthy substitutes were Jakub Sokolik and Bedsente Gomis.
All were very charming and entertaining hosts and we had a really great night - thank you all.
