Tuesday May 3rd 6pm at Roots Hall In aid of the Bobby Moore cancer fund the first annual Ivor Samuels memorial Cup between Southend United Old boys V Westcliff Wanders.

To raise funds for this worthy cause and celebrate the Life of Southend fan and good friend Ivor Samuels (aged 45) who died suddenly last year after a short battle with cancer.

Tickets are five pounds on the door ( under 14 Free ) players appearing so far include David Crown, Ian Benjamin, Peter Taylor, Garry Nelson, Peter Clarke, Martin Ling, Andy Ansah, Ron Poutney, Mark Stimson, Danny Greaves and Bill Garner.

The Wanders's Mannaged By Shane Westley will include Terry Alderton, Billy Wingrove and Ray Parlour along with a selection of mainly overweight, old Southend fans .... Thank you
 
Interesting, this is the same night as the Trust's Player of the Year awards, also at Roots Hall! Maybe come to the match then come to the Shrimpers - if you're a Trust member!
