Official Match Thread Portsmouth FC vs Southend United

This after-the-event know-how is all well and good. But with this team, you could have played them in any formation and with any of the subs included, and they still wouldn't have got a win.
As said, we need to hope four are in a worse pickle than us.

You have to give CP credit for spotting the mistake early - I mean, who would have ever in a million years suggested starting with that back 4 :Whistling:

He surprised me by playing one up top!

Maybe? But maybe not.

But by playing a RB-LB, a CB-RB and benching your only LB plus playing a CM-CF....you aren’t setting up to give yourself the best chance.

Powell has said before how much value it is playing players in their position, but then doesn’t do it?

Bradford are rock bottom, Plymouth being able to compete with them doesn't mean they aren't terrible.

Well we didn't fair to badly against fellow relegation stragglers Wimbledon did we???

Be careful what you wish for.

Accrington v Sunderland abandoned. Shame the same can’t happen for our game.

We need goals so why not put a more attacking midfielder like Hutchinson on who knows where the goal is instead of Dru who can't hit a cows arse with a banjo!!!:Headbang:

Because you're desperately trying to find something different?
