hi guys, i have to do a presentation soon on Portuguese football and am having a bit of trouble finding some players from yesteryear to mention, obviously Eusebio was pretty damn good but i cant find much else about anyone else, just wondering if any of you goldon oldies on here (:p ) could help me with this?

Neste página tem muitos factos e figuras interessantes sobre a história do futebol em Portugal.  A coisa óbvia é que agora é a epoca dorada para futebol Português – esses jogardoes são os jogadores que venceram no Copa do Mundo sub 20-anos em 1989 e 1991: especialmente Figo, João Pinto, Rui Costa, Paulo Sousa – eles foram o coração nestes seleções fantásticas.

A parte eles, é necessário de falar de Fernando Gomes que venceu a Bota de Ouro duas vezes nos anos 80 jogando para FC Porto – e, com certeza, de Eusebio – “O Rei”do futebol Português.

Até Cardiff, rapaz.

maybe matt and i can organise a chant for cardiff in portuguese, then if ronaldo happens to be watching the ldv final he'll up and leave real madrid and play for us for free...wouldnt be an ideal replacement for dudfield but i wouldnt say no to him
