This thread is only for positive posts and discussions. If you want to be negative or moan and bitch then go and do that somewhere else.

Couple of points:

- We're still in great form
- We're the 2nd ranked team in the playoffs
- We have players with Wembley experience (failure as well)
- We have players with good and bad memories of the playoffs
- Phil Brown has managed a team to playoff success
- We have a fully fit squad
- We're away first - I think that will help us
- This failure will allow us to assess and do things differently - second bite at the cherry and all that.

I remember being simarly gutted after the last game of the season at in 2005. Now without that pain we would not have enjoyed that great day in Cardiff with that memorable Duncan Jupp goal. Given the choice of going up in third choice or seeing us win at Wembley to acheive that I personally would have chosen the latter. Hopefully in three weeks time the Zone will be a happier place after we have done that and someone else will score a goal that will be talk about for years to come and just maybe it could be Adam Barrett.

we get to see two more games and another trip to Wembley

This is the REAL chance to make this season worthwhile. There is nothing better than winning a Wembley play off final for a team like us than, perhaps, going up as Champions. This is why we have to get FULLY behind the team and Phil Brown now and do our bit to make that a reality.

In terms of position, yes. But favourites with the bookies.

Fully agree OBL - good thready Pubey we need to be as positive as possible this whole week.

Once Stevenage are disposed of then it's off to Wembley. I promised Mrs RHB that I would take her to Wembley the next time we were there, not expecting us to get walloped at Morecambe. A promise is a promise.

Great thread! I'm positive I'll be at Roots Hall for a League game next season. :high five:

We've kept 8 clean sheets in our last 9 games, yesterday was a blip (possibly caused by playing more attacking than usual due to our need for a goal), the form suggests we'll be hard to break down in the play offs.

This is very similar to the last time we won promotion via Div 2 playoffs under Steve Tilson 10 or so years ago .... ok recent years we have been very unlucky playing form teams in the playoffs and losing but everyone's luck does change and you cannot be unlucky all the time ... I feel this is OUR YEAR

HAPPY DAYS

And this time we have actually lost to the team we are playing during the season. Last time we had done the double over both Crewe and Burton.

1. We have got rid of the of the Manager of the month curse.

2. I wouldn't fancy playing us, at any stage in the play offs, with our record over the last 14 games of;
P 14 W9 D 3 L2 F 18 A 8 GD + 10
3. Considering our goal difference was +16 for the whole season, the majority has been achieved during this run. We have a good form going into the play offs.

So let's play to our strengths, not surrender any lead we get and make the most of this opportunity, both on and off of the pitch!!!!

We have a great blend of youth and experience and we have been to Wembley before. We CAN do it this time!

3 games unbeaten and this weekend can be consigned to the deep dark memory bin.

COME ON!! Get behind the lads 110%!

Stevenage made a number of changes for the Luton game. Therefore wouldn't pay too much attention to the level of performance.

Positive thoughts we were overdue to let in a goal and we did, probably due a defeat and we managed that. Another run to start and we are not playing Plymouth. Stevenage won't be easy but less difficult than Plymouth. Provided we keep our discipline, we should get through.
