I was properly ****ed off Phillips mucked up the final one though - that would have been a glorious ending to the game if the Danes hadn't had a kick for 5 minutes.

I have a love/hate relationship with Phillips. He's great when he is in the opposition half, as was shown in the Croatia game, but I can't think of another player in my lifetime who panics on the ball and passes it backwards so much in his own half, even when he has bags of time. The pass back to Pickford on the halfway line that you mention was ridiculous.

Not the back pass (that was fine), it was the pass on the sideline that he kicked out to end the move.
