I just like watching football and going to grounds that, usually, I wouldn't probably bother going to, unless Southend play there.

Exactly, Pre-season friendlies are all about match-fitness although I think players should keep their cardio-vascular at its peak at all times.

I wasn't impressed with the elephants foot umbrella stand in the hall way.....Though he does have lovely views.

The 23s played and beat Aveley last pre season....I don’t see that being a first team friendly option but I’m pretty sure the 23s will play again as they use the ground for their games

last season we played West Ham early. It had nothing to do with our season build up but a bout money. most of the players were not ready for that game. Prem teams or champ teams should be played late in the playoff lat couple off games.
