Starting a thread for all election tips and bets.

To kick things off, I've backed the Conservative Party at 4/5 (1.80) to win the most seats. I don't think they'll get a majority and who knows what will happen with the post-election discussions, but reckon they are a fair punt in this market.

Best price on the Conservatives to win the most seats now down to 13/20 (1.65).

Thinking of having a small bet on Shaun Bailey to be their candidate in Kensington & Chelsea at 12/1 with Ladbrokes.

Lib Dems to win 31/40 seats at 2/1 looks a good bet.
Tories at 4/5 to win most seats a excellent bet

Price for the Conservatives to win most seats has shortened again following yesterday's polls.

Best price is 11/17 (1.64) but the market is generally around the 4/7 (1.57) mark now.

Matthew Engel is doing a weekly betting column in the Racing Post. Having previously tipped the Conservatives at 4/6 to win most seats (a good call as it's now 1/2) his big shouts today are:

Ed Miliband to be next PM - 6/5
Nick Clegg to win Thursday's debate - 10/1
Leanne Wood to win Thursday's debate (!) - 50/1

Where are they offering that Clegg bet? might have a tenner on it

Setting up Betfair at the moment and having UKIP.

Hadn't looked at the odds for 'most seats' in a while but there has been a big move for the Conservatives. They are now 1.41 on Betfair, with Labour 3.30.
