Let's have it out in the open, which do you prefer?

Also, it needs to be from genuine fans, so I've put a couple of filters in to sort out Wet Spams and pervs.

Shrimpers isn't unique though. Some non-league side have the nickname the Shrimpers and Morecombe are the Shrimps.

Still I'd have the Shrimpers with the Seasiders second.

The blues is my favourite...

Ah, go on, its gotta be the Shrimpers, eh??

This is a non poll isn't it. We are the Shrimpers, no one else is and certainly NOT the bloody blues.

Harwich & Parkeston isn't it?
Corby village?

Shrimpers every time.

'The Blues' is a very uninspired nickname.

Well I hate to be in the minority here, but I really dont mind which it is, the Shrimpers or the Blues.

Most teams are known by more than one name, so i dont see why we should be any different.

One of the most common thing heard bellowed out by any given individual at any Southend game is...

'Come on you Blue Boys'

Come on you Shrimpers doesnt quite work, and in the 24 years ive been following them, I could count on one hand the amount of times ive heard anyone shout out come on you Shrimpers!!

Contrversial huh?!!

Well, there's the challenge then.

Saturday, how about a resounding, stadium-wide chorus of 'Come on you Shrimpers' like scousers do 'Come on you reds' (another inspired nickname).

Or 'Shrimpers, Shrimpers, Shrimpers' like we do 'Essex, Essex, Essex'.

Or 'Play up Shrimpers, Shrimpers play up'.
