I could see them at first, so I used the link, cast my vote and then could see your images. Odd.

I was really torn between the 54-55 kit and the Firholm. I love the old style kits, but it didn't get my vote because 'kit' is about more than a shirt and what is it with the blue and white short / shirts yet black socks?

Plus, I love my Firholm kit to really vote against it for a kit I never saw in the flesh as it were.

88-90 for me. First Southend shirt I owned, great kit!

I went for the 1970/73 kit, I like the simplicity of it, although not the white socks.

White socks should not be allowed in any circumstances, ever.

Going for the 54-55 kit. Like the retro look, no sponsor, it's nice.

As Uxbridge said before it's the design not what we acheived in it. 70-73 looks too much like Chel$ki for my liking, 88-90 sorry but the other Firlom kits look better, and the 99-00 kit was a close second especially as my mate wore it to play football at centre parcs the other week.

As Uxbridge said before it's the design not what we acheived in it.

Spot on of course, although it can be tricky to divorce the success of the shirt from its aesthetics.

Is the 2004/06 one of my all-time favourites because we were so good in it, or because it was a simple, smart design? Mostly the latter I think but I think the two promotions helped more than a little...

That 99-00 kit was horrible :( the first Rebis one that followed it was MUCH better. Don't really like the 70s one either.

So for me it's definitely the Firholm kit, closely followed by the 54 one, which is very smart.
