You are probably right, I would think the Championship clubs will benefit the most followed by Division 1 and 2.

Could be potentially massive for clubs like ours.

I would imagine it will not be split evenly across the 3 divisions though.

Yes, it could bankrupt us.

It's not new money and a substantial chunk of that will be the parachute money to the former EPL clubs. They're just paying it earlier. So clubs use that money now but still have the same bills to pay once things have gone more back to normal but will then be missing a vital income stream they had budgeted for.

Still, in the meantime it creates some positive headlines for them after the PR disaster of the government's attack on football.

Just goes to show how much money goes into the premiership eh, and yet they still let league and non league clubs go out of business without helping a lot of the time:Sad:

THE Premier League has today unanimously voted to provide immediate funds of £125 million to the EFL and National League, in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

I feel sorry for some of the top players. They somehow have to survive now on about 200K a week after the cut, and they can't go in to work.

Yeah, can't help but echo the cynical strain.
After that wonderful PR exercise by Newcastle, Tottenham and others, this is a gesture.
Remember, not every PL star comes from foreign shores.
No lower leagues; no future stars to plunder. So maybe an investment of £125m?
They should have allowed Ashley to keep Sports Direct as an 'essential' service, lol.
He could have donated more to the pot!
We, or some of us complain about Ron, but that bloke at the Magpies helm ranks as one of the most odious in football.
If one was to have a league of owner odious, what would be your top 10?

Should be the other way round, L1 & L2 clubs getting the most, but dependent on what payment they have had from the PL in the last 3 years, ie: Sunderland shouldn’t get anywhere near what clubs like us should get.

In reality you’re probably right though
