Heya.

I'm on the hunt to find a music teacher for someone.

Does anyone know anyone who does PRIVATE MUSIC LESSONS (GUITAR) AT PEOPLE'S HOMES?

The girl is about 7/8/9 {can't remember} but wants to learn the guitar, so her mum has asked me to go on a hunt! :minger:

If anyone could recommend a good person who teaches guitar at home at a reasonable price - also located near Ashingdon - please post in here.

TIA.

:finger:

I used to give lessons, but don't have the time now. If you go into PMT music in Southend or the one just along a bit on London Road (towards the Cricketers - Allegro Music is it?) they will usually have a few names.

i used to teach drums and percussion but quit when i went to uni... this is your best and most reliable source of professional musicians and teachers:

http://www.ism.org/publications/register_view1.php?reg=1

this one is more comprehensive...
http://www.musicteachers.co.uk/browse/ss/southend.on.sea/teachers/

and the word 'reasonable' and decent teacher tend not to go... if she is seriously talented then lessons will cos a bomb (i charged £15 an hr) and was charged by my teacher £20... some lessons can be £40 an hr so be careful!

I used to have Guitar lessons last year around £12 for 15 mins so that didn't last long. Changed to bass, taught my self, and now looking forward to some gigs :)

if she is only young then surely her primary school may have some lessons?
