Anyone any ideas? Laptop is running on Vista, IE works, Chrome doesn't. Have tried unloading and reloading, problem is that Chrome houses all access to hubby's business records so we do really need to try and get it back!

Message says "Chrome is not leading, Windows will check for a solution to the problem and will let you know" (or something along those lines) - it never does.

How does chrome access his records? I assume you use chrome to access websites that he uses?

Certainly uninstall/reinstall from add remove programs. Removing chrome probably wont remove all the files etc and when you reinstall it may juut re-use what its left behind, which if corrupted will just bring the problem back. If it does,

Go to the : Manually Uninstall Google Chrome in Windows section here : http://www.chromestory.com/2011/11/how-to-remove-google-chrome/

That'll tell you what folders to delete before reinstalling it.

Yes, sorry. My technical vocab isn't great - I meant uninstalled and re-installed!

I think it's because he has saved passwords and things on there, will pass on your advice Jam_Man, thanks.
