Don't know whether anyone has seen this, or whether it actually effects anyone, but news was recently released that on the 1st April update Sony are to remove their "Other OS" area from the PS3.

Personally this doesn't effect me at all, and Sony are saying it only effect's a very small percentage of their users, but surely it is against trading laws to remove something that has been advertised as a selling point towards to developers etc.

Their reasoning is that because of the recent hack they are worried that illegal games will start being made, but surely this opens the door for people to start hacking it even more?

Just wondered if anyone had any thoughts. I mean if this is the case surely they can just pick and choose what users can have, despite selling it to them with all the options available...

******s

i bought a fat one the day before the slim was released for this, so that i could play emulators. ****ing *******s .

Thats bizarre , it was a selling point as with Linux it becoms a full working pc . The hacks have little to do with that their done with direct hardware interfacing !!!
