random audio mixer question

you can connect a jack and an xlr and if your recording you can go through a DAW and over dub as many times as you like.

Just remember to use phonos or optical cables when u bus the signal to the DAW.

Hope i've helped somewhat.

Apes.

Jesus apes, did you swallow an audio manual?!

I was just going to suggest upgrading to an 802...

haha thank you

but i have no idea! whats a DAW

basicly i use this gear for my podcasts and wanna beable to do one with 2 people can it be done?

well thats what a degree does to you. haha

DAW is a digital audio workstation
its just a fancy word for something like cubase, pro tools or logic.

im pretty sure it can be done. As long as one if xlr and u can find a mic with a jack connection.

looking at that mixing desk, (but not knowing it) i would say that you can put a Jack ended Mic into channels 2 & 3. Obviously you wont be able to have the control over gain etc that you do with channel 1, as it looks like channels 2 & 3 only have balance and level.
Is there any music in your podcast, as obviously using one of the other 2 channels for a mic would only leave you with 1 for an audio imput.
you can pick up cheap jack mic's for a few quid on ebay, but if you want a decent one but under £50, i would go for Sennheiser.. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SENNHEISER-e8...14&_trkparms=72:1298|66:2|65:12|39:1|240:1318
