Collis - Faultless although didn't have to do much. Good kicking to boot as well today - 7

Hammell - Defended reasonably, passed well but poor crossing - 6

Barrett - At fault for the goal, another couple of mistakes also - 6

P. Clarke - Defended strongly, good blocks and decent distribution for once - 7

Hunt - Didn't have much to do defensively. Attacked reasonably. - 6.5

Morgan - nothing quite came off. Over complicated things and not enough crosses from decent positions - 5.5

Maher - Typical Maher performance. Good passing and creative vision. Too many quick free kicks - 7

Macca - Needlessly sent off. Played well so a shame - 5

Black - lacked confience until half way through he made a decnt run and perked up. Glimpses of the play everyone knows he can be - 7

Macdonald - determined, gritty, good vision, work ethic and held the ball up well without having a chance - MOM 7.5

Clarke - Decent link up. Simply wasteful. Should and could have had three with the chances presented to him. 6

Ref - Over fussy, must have booked Macca for dissent for the first foul because simply it wasn't a booking. 6

Crowd - Good levels, well done Blue voice. Dung when losing - 7

Black - lacked confience until half way through he made a decnt run and perked up. Glimpses of the play everyone knows he can be - 7

He did indeed show glimpses of the player I know he can be. A **** one.

He was constantly out of position, leaving Hunt (who I felt was our best player) stranded facing both the Oldham full-back and winger at once.

Then, when he did get on the ball, he seemed bereft of any ideas. In his first few performances, he showed great touches of skill, but this just wasn't evident at all today.

I thought he and Morgan were the primary reasons behind our defeat today. They forced us to play into Oldham's hands - playing through the centre which they filled with defenders.

All round mediocre performance really.

Though Hunt did well today, especially seeing as he had Black in front of him. I say in front of him but in reality Black drifted inside far to much leaving an exposed Hunt to pick up the pieces. Black worth no more than a 4 if we're being generous.

Macdonald as well I thought was poor constantly missing teammates, seemed to have little awareness of what was going on around him and whilst he ran his **** off lacked real quality.

Didn't think Maher has a good game either by his very high standards, too many aimless balls.

Maybe a 5 for Clarke as he missed some real gilt edged chances.
