Has anyone use redspottedhanky.com to buy train tickets before? Are they legit?

Yer they are legit but I can't see them being any cheaper than trainline.com as prices are set by the TOC.

They're exactly the same price. The difference is that the train line web site doesn't allow me to remove a slightly wrong journey from my basket, so when I re-did it they were trying to make me pay for both journeys. Also on the train line web site I chose my seat only to get a cursory "No Tickets Available" note on the details. Red Spotted Hanky gave a bit more info than that, i.e. that there are tickets availalbe, but not with the options I chose. No more useful, but at least it was a bit friendlier...

Also the train line want to charge a £1.50 booking fee. Red Spotted Hanky don't.

Thanks for the help though.

BTW: You say the TOC set the price. Isn't that price fixing?

I tend to find the National Rail website itself to be the best train ticket website

Absolutely legit.

Personally, I don't find their website as user-friendly as trainline, so I use trainline for checking when cheap tickets are available and for train times and then buy them from redspottedhankey.

i used RSH with my tesco clubcard vouchers. I think i got £2 or £3 for a £1 voucher. Was all done online.

Use Quidco and you get cashback when using Red Spotted Hanky. The wife uses them every week to get her train tickets.
