Relegation Battle- Remaining Fixtures.

I split the season in to two halves, two batch of 23 games. We have 8 games left in this second batch. Now the last 8 games in the 1st batch yielded 14 points (4 wins, 2 draws and 2 defeats). Yes this was our purple patch in December, but we arguably have a better squad now, no?

We also have only lost 3 times in the last 12....

Our next 4 games will be very key to what happens to all of us, we have home games against, Barrow, Walsall and you lot and an away game against Oldham, any of those sides including us could go down. Our last 3 games are very tough so hopefully we may be almost safe by then!

Current form has Walsall and Mansfield sliding into trouble. Walsall are bottom on current form over the last 10 and 12 games.

Their games could be just as crucial as Grimsby, Barrow and Colchester's.

I’d say we need to win 4 out of the last 7 to have any real chance of surviving. The fact we’ve won 8 in 39 this season shows how unlikely that is.

We've only lost 3 in the last 10 so it's certainly possible, the defensive side of our game isn't too bad these days (although we need White back sooner rather than later), it's the complete lack of any attacking threat up front (especially when Olayinka doesn't play) that's put us where we are.
