Nice work, Techy, on the form table / league table comparison.

Incidentally, the teams to watch out for beneath the playoffs are, perhaps unsurprisingly, Northampton and Oxford. The latter have had a fantastic January, and I'm surprised they're not higher up the form charts. The Cobblers are also clearly a good side, and will impact on the promotion picture at some point.

Incidentally, Statmail has the form chart a little differently in terms of form over the last 8 games:

Pos Team W D L
1 Swansea 5 2 1
2 Lincoln 5 2 1
3 Macc Town 5 1 2
4 Yeovil 5 1 2
5 Northants 4 2 2
6 Darlo 4 2 2
7 Oxford 4 2 2
8 Cheltenham 3 3 2
9 Southend 3 3 2
10 Boston 3 3 2

16 Scunny 2 3 3

18 Orient 2 3 3

The good thing about this part of the season is that it's all still in our own hands. Ok, so a number of sides who are "in the mixer" are on superb runs of form.

But we're not doing too badly ourselves - and if we keep pushing on, we are definitely capable of making the playoffs.

Scunny is beginning to look like a "must-win", though. They're 16th in the form tables, they've lost two on the trot on the road, they struggled to a 2-1 home win over Kidderminster, and we need to make Roots Hall a fortress again, following "wobbles" against the East Midlands pair of Mansfield and Notts County.

3 points would set us up very nicely for our trip to Sixfields... we can, we must go for it on Friday.

COME ON SOUTHEND!

Matt
