Club Information #RHLIVE - Forest Green - 21st May.

Yep, came up as I was looking at the app! Got the first ticket I think! (Haven't been in the East Stand for over 30 years & that was for a reserve game, from what I read on here, hasn't changed much 😁)

Once I saw getting a ticket at the game was not on cancelled hotel & train (full refund) & tempted the wife for 2 nights on the Essex rivera, all for a balcony with a sea view, couldn't get that in Stroud 😆

Good luck to all those going, but looking forward to the atmosphere at the Hall, Spread before the match or are the bars in the East good enough?

COME ON YOU SHRIMPERS!!!!!

All booked up, 2 going, should imagine this will sell out very quickly, so not wasted any time getting tickets.

Went to the first screening and the Atmosphere was amazing, let's hope it's another magical night :LoyalSupporter:

I'm so excited!

Felt nervous as heck with the 2005 and 2015 campaigns, this one though just feels different.

I think the combination of creeping in after an up and down year helps, but ultimately, having a football club to support is the win. Anything now extra is a complete bonus and I'll take anything now.

The only thing I feel nervous about is knowing that we could be in the football league in 180 minutes time - now that is some going for a club that was dead and buried to nearly everyone apart from the minority literally months ago.

Watching Palace win the cup against City is a massive win for football, in a strange kind of way I can feel a similarity with them. Come on you Shrimpers!

Will be more at Roots Hall then at Forest Green RE Southend fans.

Not sure if gate receipts are shared but if they are I can't imagine food and drink sales are shared. Support the club and buy a beer. If you really want to go for it chance your arm on a burger lol

Must admit I've been spoilt sitting where I sit in the East. I have a nice plastic seat sitting in the old paddock. Took my kids to Kevs Testimonial yesterday and sat in my usual seat but they couldn't really see much so 2nd half took them to the back. Legroom and flat wooden seats. No wonder people think the East moan all the time. I think sitting on that for 90 minutes would make me a Discussing old guy.

Top tip, bring a cushion, although hopefully the team will keep us all on our feet.

Just a query for veteran big screen goers, especially as there could be a few more than the Rochdale game; 1) ok to arrive early & use east stand bars, or drink outside & arrive near kick off, presuming you use your booked seat number &, 2) can you get a drink during the game & return to your seat with it?

So many similarities to Palace ( my sons team) always enjoyed our games against them home & away - Palace / Southend double - don’t write that off

Bars open at 6 for happy hour and yes you can drink at your seat. Thursday night was brilliant. Enjoy yourself

The only downside is you have to keep getting up & down with people going in & out pain in the arse if you have drinks as some seats very tight also can get over crowded at half time with people queuing for burgers & trying to get to toilets can be difficult with small children

We are in. Not committed to car park yet, not sure on work commitments yet, as bus is attractive as is straight to ground from London.

However, this is such a brilliant demonstration of COSU thinking outside the box, and utilising out assets effectively.

Opening Roots Hall for the games is a great opportunity for raising revenue and engaging with us fans. Given that there are basically no opportunities to open up the ground again until next season, so any income from this must be wevlcomed.

With this in mind, FGR not wanting us to bring along the 12th man is a great chance for us. Given we will likely attract at least double the crowd who can see the game live at FGR, it has to be a thank you to them for a golden opportunity for us to get some much needed but unexpected money in!

Makes a total mockery of Ron's 'cant do anything at Roots Hall' mantra!

Lets go big, and enjoy the game! If we make enough noise, they might hear us in Gloucestershire!

There is a greater "shabby chic" vibe now than there was 30 years ago ......... très à la mode ........
