U's sack assistant manager Brooks
Cambridge have confirmed that assistant manager Dale Brooks has been sacked.
U's vice chairman Roger Hunt said: "The board reached the decision over the weekend - youth team manager Ricky Duncan will be taking over the role.
"It's unusual for this to happen, but it's a democratic board and it's the decision we have come to," he told Cambridge's club website.
Brooks joined as centre of excellence director in 1998 and was appointed John Taylor's assistant in January 2002.
