Ah, that lesser known Tina Turner hit.
Which reminds me, I've always thought the 2nd line of that song is: -

"With a can of white emulsion"

Apparently all the strippers in Latvia are from there or Russia.
Dave won't be interested in that. He prefers wining and dining a classy bird for a few months before the magic happens rather than snaking some filthbag in a dark alley.

Maybe....

In fairness I tell him most of what I get up to anyway so dont think he would be too shocked....

Have been to Riga several times, and can confirm that beer, birds food etc all dirt cheap.
IMHO opinion though Tallin in Estonia offers far better entertainment and is just as cheap.

The boyfriend went there for a stag weekend a little while ago and had a great time by all accounts - he did indeed confirm that most of the women are stunning and that fags and beer are stupidly cheap!

Have fun!

Having met your old man and know the people he drinks with in the Spread, I'm not too surprised

Went to Riga last May for a stag do - nice, but you have to keep your wits about you in the strip clubs, as some of our group got done over for not paying a massive (and incorrect) bill...

Would recommend the SkyBar, which is on the top floor of the Hotel Latvia. Nice place to go on a Saturday night - loads of Scandinavian women in there (and no, they aren't strippers). Loads of Norweigans, Swedes and Finns go there on a weekend break like we would go to Dublin/Barcelona etc.

Well, during the day we went to the main square, and used the open air bars. However, this was May and the sun was beating down. We also took a trip to the football stadium, where FC Riga were at home. Canvey get more fans that that lot (and they didn't sell replica shirts).

There are a few English/Irish pubs in the town - to be quite honest we drank loads and then had a steak... And chatted to Scandinavian and Russian women/strippers alot...

That's about it really
