"Southend took the lead 2 minutes after the re-start thanks to their leading scorer and striking hot shot Leon Constantine. I am not sure exactly what went on with the goal because I totally missed it. I turned round for 1 second and I turn back round to see Mr Prosser pointing to the centre circle with the Southend players cheering and Neil Edwards and the whole Dale team near enough running over to the linesman in protest and the score read 1-0 to Southend. I am led to believe that a long range effort from Constantine was poorly handled by Edwards and that the ball apparently went over the line and the 2 people I have asked about it had no arguments with the goal."

As for the penalty ...
"The game was back level on 58 minutes thanks to a truly shocking decision from referee Phil Prosser ... was greeted with a penalty being given and most of the Sandy was in stitches with laughter at the decision"

Quick mention to those in fany dress. You all look spendlid. A great effort ...
