Echo News Sam Hart and Simeon Akinola can still not feature for Southend United due to embargo

I'm not sure that really gives Ron the right to mess them around. Apart from anything else it doesn't look good when we're trying to sign players in the future.

They might be fully aware of the situation and being paid a premium for the inconvenience?

That might be the case, but I doubt it. Certainly not the "being paid a premium" bit.

Not so sure. We are not much of a draw footballing wise and we have a reputation for not paying players on time.

I dare say Akinola or Hart could have found a non league team on reasonable money yet both chose to come to Southend.

Perhaps they are expecting long injuries. ?

So they'll accept a premium even though we don't pay on time? Not sure of that one.

Greater risk demands greater reward.

I understand what you mean, and in normal circumstances you might be right. But SUFC are anything buy normal. We pay **** as it is. I can't see RM agreeing to pay extra to cover his own incompetence.

It is at times like this that we actually require a statement from RM on the matter, rather than the patronising drivel about how 'he is a better supporter than the rest of us' we normally get.

That's not true tho is it? Ron's player salaries last season was one of the highest in the league!
