On Saturday 8th December and Sunday 9th December, Liverpool Street to Southend Victoria services will be replaced by buses between Wickford and Southend Victoria

Cos it's free and driving into prittlewell is a nightmare, especially trying to find a parking space.

I drive and have never had any problem parking. I may not be right next door to the station but would rather do that than take a punt on the train, especially when there are none!

Oh and I park for free aswell....;)

Trains being replaced by buses for every weekend in December I believe, and every day over the Christmas period while they do work at Liverpool Street itself, so will have an impact on the Christmas fixtures.

As for parking, I always park either on Burr Hill Chase or Prittlewell Chase if I get there early enough, never had a problem in the last 26 years!!

Priory Park is open 24/7 and i've noticed people parking there on a Saturday and its free.

Leigh station car park is a quid at the weekend isnt it? Southend is blessed with two good (ish) train routes into our nations Capital

Ooops i forgot to mention this , Chum of mine that works at Rochford said the trainswil be like this every weekend untill Christmas (so every weekend basiclly )SOuthend to Wickford is Bus only .

Thank God it's on Sat and Sun. Coming back to Southend from Ipswich for the weekend, using the ONE line. Luckily I'm coming back on Friday evening.....
