A narrow 2 point win away to Wests Tigers takes Brisbane Broncos to the top of the NRL (although Bulldogs have a couple of games in hand).

I'm getting more and more into this League business. Bring on Origin I say!

I have a little bit of interest in the Tigers as they are my local team (local being a loose term in NRL as they seem to play "home" games all over sydney!).

Having said that, NRL is poorly run and the recent off field incidents prove that for me, it's time is up....wouldn't surprise me if it goes to the wall and union becomes the dominant code in the future.

I hope not. As a complete Rugby outsider when I came out here I'm actually getting into the League a bit. I've also been to a few Reds games in the Super 14 through work and been bored silly. So it's League over Union every time for me.

Here in Queensland Rugby League is a religion, to the extent that Football is at home so you can't help but get caught up in it. Union however is almost a minority sport. Roar get bigger crowds at Suncorp than the Reds do so Football could arguably be the bigger game here than Rugby Union.
