Scotland v England.

Reckon the Scots have a long way to go before they're up to beating England.

Apart from a spell in the second half, which resulted in Scotland’s goal, I felt we were comfortable and controlled the game almost from start to finish.

Bellingham is already some player. Not point in talking about his potential, when he is already a monster. He wasn’t on his game at the weekend, but was firing last night. Foden, for me too, is another to build a team around. He is quality and how he isn’t a starter every week for City & England baffles me.

Felt for Maguire. Apart from that own goal, he has never let England down. Been in teams of the tournament for us, scored crucial goals, and been a leader back there. The criticism, and making him a scapegoat is well over the top from pundits and fans alike. I’ve not seen this type of stick for a player since Beckham and his sending off. But Maguire hasn’t had a moment like that.

Yes, he isn’t the best centre half in the world, yes Manchester United overpaid for him, but that isn’t his fault. He makes a good partnership alongside Stones, and IMHO, the other centre halves we have as options aren’t as good as Maguire. Maybe the lad at Chelsea will be his long term replacement for him, but I don’t think it’ll be Guehi or Dunk, who played well and I’d have no problems with him being in the squad more.

Scotland aren’t at England’s level yet. Yes, they’ve improved, and will qualify for the Euros, but they won’t be a threat.

I couldn't work out the cheers / jeers whenever Maguire passed the ball. Was that English fans or the Scots ?

As for the game. I think we looked really classy last night. That's a difficult place to go and we dominated from start to finish. Bellingham takes that team to a whole new level and with Foden in good form I reckon we could be in with a real chance in the Euro finals.

Didn't watch the whole game but Lewis Dunk impressed and showed why that shouldn't have been only his second cap. Wouldn't be against him and Stones as our first-choice centre-back partnership going into the Euro.

It was obviously the Scottish fans. The England fans were actually singing in support of him. Got to feel sorry for Maguire, maybe he needs to be taken out of the firing line for his own benefit as well because he must be devoid of confidence at the moment.

Nice to bring the Scots down a peg after their recent success. The third goal came just at the right time as Scotland were having a good spell and it shut their fans up.

Or when he got sent off for two embarrassing poor tackles v Denmark in the first half, which was almost 3 years ago now but that is how long his been struggling for at club level. He needs to move, he should of gone in the summer, he needs the confidence. Hopefully the backing from the england end last night helped, we all sung that terrible song of his as they left the picture and he acknowledged it.

Great atmosphere at the game last night and good to put them back in their place even if many weren’t confident before the game.
