Scunthorpe United--Another club in a financial mess

Scunthorpe United look to be another club to be in a financial mess (but with them the team are under performing.)

Will be very interesting to see if wages get paid at the end of November. No income via matches until early December !

Another feels that they may not even get to complete this season.

Another bad owner.

Its sad to see so many clubs in financial difficulties and plyers and staff not getting paid ,Seriously need a major over haul of football in th UK from the Premiershite down., And a good look at the owners of the clubs .

I don't know who it was, but many years ago a football finance expert predicted all of this if the premier league were allowed to get away with what they were proposing.

Seems he was so right ,much to much tv money ,etc going to the Premiershite. Grass roots football and clubs like ours and many many others suffers because of this.

I'm localish to Scunny and talking to one of their fans they fear they are in a much worse situation than we are, they can't see where any additional funding will come from. Their chairman is married to the heiress of Wilko's and it appears that the money taps have been well and truly turned off.


There is talk of redevelopment of the ground but that's unlikely to raise any significant funding due to a) Scunthorpe not being the most desirable place to live, particularly near the stadium & b) property is much cheaper up north

But would you use that rude term if SUFC were baled out by the top clubs?!

Why is it rude .a league full of prima donnas ,players that are over paid ,believe they are better than they actually are , yeah it will always be the Premiershite to me.
