Maybe a ceiling even?

But non shrimper related, expect a Mod to cast this into it's proper place, which as far as I'm concerned is oblivion!

Was it a lob - or a hoofed shot, If it was the latter I blame Sturrock and Ron Martin ................. There you go, now it's a Southend thread again and we can have another thread discussing administration, long balls, 83 points and how we want to find someone to blame and chastise !!

A 48 year-old man gives up his day for charity and has his career called into question as a result.

Seaman got lobbed 3 times in his career, Nayim, Ronaldino and Lee Dixon.

One of the best keepers England has ever had and Im not sure Soccer Aid is a reasonable yardstick to measure his career by.

More than just one day, they'd been training for several days too! Seaman one end against Van der Sar the other, well, rather a mismatch, one retired for several years and the other only just retired. FWIW, I enjoyed the match itself, thought there were a few players on both sides that did well, Seedorf and Stam looked very decent still, and of the celebs, well, the Kasabian guy on the ROTW team, had a storming game. England's Jonathan Wilkes and Ben Sheppard had their usually good showing, and Olly Murs looked good until he tweaked his hamstring.

After seeing all the "I love Olly" banners from the young girls I knew he would pull something.

I liked before the game when Dermot said

'Olly Always scores.... oh yes... Olly alllwaayyyss scorress' :winking:

Serge was on the books of Leicester before having to make a decision of Band or Football. That finish was pure class and you could tell he had more about him than a lot of the other celebs. Anyone remember this:

What I don't get is why someone born in England was playing for ROW? It seems the parent/grandparent nationality rule extends to charity football as well!
