Season ticket prices for 20/21 season

Price depends on the stand I guess, i would expect a discount of around 60 quid for the south stand (I think not added it up as not taking it up). But East stand tickets are more expensive than south stand so guess more discount on next season prices.

It’s the same price wherever you sit.

The question must be if capacity is lower due to Covid, he cannot lower prices, simply the debt would increase, he would be better and I am not saying it is the right way, keeping the prices the same, knowing season ticket holders would come through the gates say 2500, and I would expect 1000 floating fans, so not too bad on income, if capacity is 40 % during these trying times

The thing is do fans want a club staying in Div 2 or out in Conference

Its not easy when people are losing jobs, on furlough or just struggling in general, to me its still a game of football, it willnot hurt me if the club folds, though it holds many great memories, we have to be realistic and understand we may have to pay an inflated ticket or have no team to watch

I won't be renewing whatever the price is. I already made my mind up on that ages ago.
My ticket was £395 last year. 3 games missed due to personal reasons, the Bury game and then add the games missed during lock down, that's one hell of an expensive ticket for what I got in return. From now on, I'll just PAYG ....... when we can eventually go that is.

Also, my mum has been a STH for over 30 years and has already said she won't be renewing for the first time in all those years due to not being happy with the way the club is being run and the fact she is in the shielded group. She hasn't even got in a car or been to the shops yet through fear of covid. There is no way she will be going to football.

I know about a dozen people have said the same who sit in the same area (East) and I would imagine the biggest hit on season tickets will be the older supports in the same or similar position as my mum. I feel for all of them, this is worrying times for a lot of people

Yes I'd made my mind up not to renew for much the same reasons. Hopefully with foreign travel easier as well i will just PAYG.

There will be a salary cap, much lower than league 1. The big earners are gone.

We will have to be sensible in the transfer market.

All of that said. Many will operate on much smaller budgets than us.

Ron needs to seriously think about season card structure this season.

A loyalty scheme. Ie renewals for much less than last season.

Match day tickets need to be looked at. I think it was £25 on the day last year. That will keep people away. Especially against the likes of Barrow etc.

If Ron and the commercial team get this wrong then we could be looking at the lowest home attendances for quite some time.

Get it right and with a bit of positivity off of the pitch and on it, then we could end up up with a 6k average.

The club desperately needs some stability.

As soon as first announced I will be re-newing. And getting a shirt, the decisions are home or away, and whose name and number for the back. My choices and positive Hope's.
Last season I had away shirt and Ralph on back, both not good choices even in a season of unremitting gloom and doom.
UTB!

He has already cost himself 4 season ticket renewals from me by assuming know one wants a refund on the games we have missed. Forget all the loyalty to the club crap......he is taking the pi ss and the funny thing is if he'd have offered a refund i'd have been quite happy to say nah, take it off the renewal. He has gone too far this time i'm afraid....especially in this climate and the dross he dishes up!

Me and her will be renewing, what else would we do with our Saturday afternoons. A few quid off the buying price for last season's cancellations and no increase in last year's over 60s price should make it attractive.

This post from HypoTypo shows why no refund was offered.

12. If a Southend United fixture is cancelled during the season you hold a season card, and the reasoning for the cancellation is out of the club’s control then, unfortunately, you will not be liable for a refund.
However, the club will endeavour to offer alternative solutions, exclusively for use by season card holders only.
The above offers will be at the discretion of Southend United Football Club

Quote terms and conditions all you like, i'm sure the clubs that have given the refund option have the same but no, do you think our idiot in charge would consider the fair option? Another own goal from the car dealer and this one will come back to bite him in this sh itt y League.
As i said he is already 1600 quid down from me before he starts if he doesn't reconsider!

You could sit indoors and watch it on iFollow .... as may yet happen especially if we get another wave of you know what. Another reason I won't be renewing .... Just in case

I'm not old enough (yet) to get concessions

If we have to then we have to, but there is no comparison between being there and watching on iFollow.

This looks like a strange approach to me. As I understand it option 2 is "to use my outstanding 2019/20 season card balance as part of my payment for the 2020/21 season card". So if you renewed, as you said you would have done, you would get your refund.

Yes of course I would but the principal of the thing is say I didn’t want to/ couldn’t renew then that option is not there and Ron Martin for a few grand shouldn’t take people’s finances and personal situations and wishes (scared to come to games ) for granted. For that reason if he doesn’t offer a refund then I will be backing those people by keeping my 1600 quid in my pocket not his.....the bloke is one big joke!

Ron's a good guy with a good heart and you're obsessed with goalkeepers and yourself. And you seem to be forgetting you support a lower league soccer club, 99% of which are money-losing, balls to the wall companies who are unlikely to ever break even, let alone make a profit.

You not paying for a season ticket to stick two fingers up at an owner is damaging to the very club you claim to support - yet have moaned about your entire life. You're the equivalent of someone who hates gin and yet orders a gin and tonic every weekend - why don't you try something else instead?

I really cannot see how the prices can increase as we have dropped into L2 and I think this is the perfect time for the EFL to look at wages and put in place a wage cap for the lower leagues otherwise some if not several will fall by the wayside.

Your choice if you wanna be had over by him. As for the crap about a raffle I nearly threw up. A lot of others arn’t too happy by the look of it and will choose not to renew this year (4 season tickets in my case) unless he is fair with us long suffering fans and offers a refund on the missing games. He drives a Bentley, I drive a Ford Escort, I need concessions more than he does....he’s only got to do what the equally potless club up the road has kindly done and offered option 3!

Im'e sorry SF but your comments are a bit unnecessary as everyone is entitled to their opinion irrespective of whether you think they are right or wrong. Ron Martin is a buisness man who stands to make millions out of Southend if FF goes ahead so a bit of compassion for the clubs supporters ie season ticket holders at what is a difficult time for everyone would go a long way........after all we are a pretty loyal bunch ! So let's be a bit more civil to each other........

About as damaging as firing a B.B. gun at a Centurion tank.

The fact that we operate at a loss of £2m every year, and constantly find ourselves enthralled in winding up battles against HMRC, are far more damaging to this club, to be fair
