My ticket, (not a seaso) said turnstiles 1-4, but I got in fine in the West.

Mine and the childrens season cards worked ok on turnstile 8/9 East, red section, but my husbands didn't want to know, steward said his card hadn't been activated, but let him in on a pass key thingy

Mine didn't work being inside my wallet (and it's on the outside edge, not right in the middle) until I pressed it almost forcibly up against the "proximity" reader!
