Apparenty Shaun Goater is going to be interviewed on radio 5 Live at half time of the Sunderland- Southampton game, so sometime in the next few minutes.

Still the longest substitution in history I reckon. A full two minutes to come off to a standing ovation and not a dry eye in the place. Man City fans in the West Stand what a memory.

Was a fitting day for Goater with City fans there and of course being a ex Bristol City player as well.Still a god to Man City fans, writes in their programme i think. He played a big part in us winning the title that season. His book is a good read as well

Indeed he did. 11 goals wasn't it?

I still fondly look back at the game away at Brentford on 14/02/06 when in 75 minutes on the field the Goat registered approximately no touches of the ball. Those were the days.

I was at his last game, brilliant day

He did well in some games, but others drifted by him. If we had struggled that season then he may have been a target for the boo boys. Still a lovely bloke so deserves his praise

Great ambassador for the game and never underestimate the contribution the Goat made to Eastwood and in the dressing room during his only season. He did a good job on the pitch and was the perfect foil for Freddy. Double figures for goals too which was a good return.

Shrewd signing by Tilly and I'm glad he got a medal in his last season as a pro.

Yes Tilly signed him but give Ron Martin the Goats book he said how persistent Martin was in getting him to sign.
