Shrimpers & Swans

From the 606 site:

The two sets of supporters were a credit to both clubs yesterday. Total respect showed by the Swans & Shrimpers. I cant explain why this bond has happened, but long may it last. I chatted to Southend fans before & after the game. The Morfa Parc pub was full of Shrimpers and they were superb. Lads you are a credit to your club. We applauded you in recognition of your feat & you applauded Kevin McLeod when he was stretchered off. Swans fans have taken alot of abuse on this board and some said we are thugs, but yesterday disproved that. UP THE SWANS & UP THE SHRIMPERS

More Mutual respect than a special bond if you ask me. Both are strong footballing sides who play Fast, flowing, attacking football on the deck and have done well at the same time.

Definitely mutual respect. It was one of those games which saw two sets of fans giving it their all, two sets of players giving it their all and both showing the other why they are doing so well.

It was really really noisy, and really really good. I hope they go up thru the play offs as the ground in itself deserves it.

Said on championship we entered Football league together and got promoted from League 2 together and maybe league 1 for swans this year?

After Saturday I wouldn't complain if they went up. Nice touch by their fans to stay and clap us off at the end.
Few decent posts on here by Swans fans since Saturday as well.

First class fans. Really enjoyed my visits to Wales over the past 2 years. Really love the Welsh people they are very friendly. Might take a holiday there soon.
Anne Robinson was completely wrong about the Welsh.
