Shrimpers Trust News Shrimpers Trust Statement - 3rd October 2021

The council hasn't wanted the stadium to go through for so many years because it would be in competition with the high street,
What High St?. More shops empty than still open, & most of them food outlets, coffee houses or cheap tat ones?.
I walked down there Fri lunchtime, the amount of people about was similar to 10am on a Sunday!.
It's time the Council realised that by spending 'loadsamoney' on re paving the top end, isn't going to make the slightest difference attracting more people to it?.

Do you remember him (RM) milking the applause before the Doncaster away Play Off semi final? He thought he was Benito Mussolini! I remember thinking what on earth are you doing? He's a Machiavellian narcissist good and proper.

I can remember him actually asking me before the Chelsea home game. "Do you think it would be ok if I walked around the pitch before the game so the fans can see me"

I actually just laughed I was in so much shock.

Without the new stadium, I don't think the club has a chance of moving forward. Where is the money coming from to develop Roots Hall? The council hasn't wanted the stadium to go through for so many years because it would be in competition with the high street, when it was announced that housing would replace retail it suddenly got moving, why would that be?

You do know the plans have been changed and the retail element has been replaced with residential, don't you?
