Singers / Bands that everyone likes apart from you.....

This: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-50732153

Of the decade ? :Thumbs down: Dunno if I'm missing something but don't think I'm alone in thinking it'd be more fun sticking spoons in my eyes than listening to him...... Thank goodness we're all different :Smile2:

They're mostly made for kids & teenagers. I'm sure if I went back to 1984 I would be gushing over the likes of ABC & Duran Duran whilst my dad would be moaning that they don't make them like they used to and life was so much better.......

Let today's generation have their own heroes as in 30 years time they'll be nostalgic for Ed Sheeran & co and dismissing whoever is making music then.

Duran Duran were a quality band who have stood the test of time.

My (dead) Dad doesn't think so now, and didn't think so in 1984.
There were a few records that united my whole household in the early '80s, including my Dad. I remember all of us digging Thriller, Lexicon of Love was another one, and slightly more embarrassing now, we all loved No Parlez by Paul Young

My old man was just that in the early 80s - old (born in 1925). He was the generation of Bing Crosby & Frank Sinatra. Bizarrely he had a soft spot for Kylie, though I doubt that was anything to do with her music. :Hilarious:

I believe he likes a lady closer to his own age :Whistling:

Very true

MC has been reading the Guardian I see. They did write a lot of rubbish, but (amongst others) WMAHP and Stay Free are genius.
