Sir Ranulph Fiennes reached the summit of Everest today on his third attempt at conquering the world's highest peak.

Arriving at the summit just before 1am BST, the veteran explorer became the first man to cross the north and south poles and climb the Himalayan mountain.
At 65, he also becomes the oldest Briton and the first British pensioner to climb Everest.

I will be glad just to be able to get my *** out of my chair at the age of 65!!!

The (Old) Boy has done well

MAd (but brilliant ) as a box of frogs . Kicked out of the SAS for blowing things up when he shouldn't have done (he had a habit of collecting explosives form missions ,which hadnt been used and they used it on a car belonging to an officer), think he still holds the 7 marathons in 7 days record ?
