For anyone near a TV, SSN just previewed some sort of dead parrot sketch involving a bunch of Southend fans. No idea what it's about but it should be on in a few minutes...

Aha, seems Rio is a Southend United supporting parrot who has forgotten how to sing his Southend songs. A brief cut to Freddy's effort against the Mancs cuts to some rather embarrassing efforts to have Rio sing for the camera.

A slow news day perhaps...

It's really not worth thinking too much about, trust me...

Sky Sports News this morning featured a family of Southend United fans along with their media-shy Parrot, Rio, who supposedly carries a nice tune. Despite their desperate attempts to have him chant Eastwood's name for the cameras, we were treated to nothing more than a couple of squawks!

All in all, an embarrassing episode, and one I'm sorry I mentioned.
