Slipperduke

We are very fortunate to have in our midst a writer of the calibre of Slipperduke - the columns he writes are invariably well thought out and excelently written. I'm not sure that there are many, if any, fan's forums out there who have a writer as good as this contributing regularly.

So it seems to me a great shame, and a missed opportunity, to not have a regular fixed front page slot pointing people to his column, and for his writings to have been placed on the "All League Chit-Chit" forum, where a lot of people will miss them. I know that there has to be a discipline in the organisation of a site as popular as this, but surely Slipperduke's writings transcend this and he deserves the widest possible audience.

Can an exception not be made in his case, and his column pinned to the top of this forum? c'mon Mods, you know it makes sense!

I'm a big fan of Slipperduke's articles. But, the 'sticky' area of the main forum is a bit crowded at the moment. That's not to say it's something we'll never consider, but we won't be going down that route at the moment.

Incidentally, the man himself may well be in The Market Porter pre-game as he's actually gracing us SUFC fans with his presence at Millwall ;)

Can't say I'm not disappointed. Any objections to me posting the occasional non-sticky link when he posts a new column? And how about a permanent link from the front page?

Given time - it takes about an hour to put a new article on the site and we've all got busy lives! - we may put the odd article up on the front page.

Please bear in mind this is the Shrimpers Chit Chat Forum. As such, if it's not related to SUFC, it doesn't really belong here, even if it is a very well written piece by one of our own.
