Not a question to Ron, more of a statement really.
Stan is offering his help for free, as much time as the club wants him give.
I know that Stan has said he doesn't need the money, but I think the least Ron could do is throw
as many 'Golfing Days' free at Stan as he can legally muster (within the tax allowances of course)
by way of some sort of appreciation.
P.S. Stan might not play golf, but you get the drift.
Disagree.
If Stan wants to work for free, let him.
IF we hire a CEO, it means less playing budget (Think something along the lines of 200k year would be a low salary for a decent CEO these days?)
The average salary for a player in the national league is around 50k per year, so we start with 4 fewer players in our budget for next year for hiring a CEO.
Worth the trade-off?
Also, if Ron decides to hire a CEO I would like the role to be at least advertised and interview 4 or 5 of the very best candidates not just take the first one available coz Stan says they are good.
