South Africa v New Zealand

Inspired!

Not Vernon Philanderer, but the NZ selectors who thought it would be a good idea to alienate Ross Taylor by sacking him from the captaincy after Taylor single-handedly got NZ's best result since they beat the Convicts in Hobart.

What utter, utter ****wits. Other than Kane Williamson, he was their only batsman who had any business playing test cricket. I expected that batting line-up (only 3 players averaging over 30 and none over 35) to struggle, but being bowled out inside 20 overs is shameful.

The shame is they've actually got a half decent bowling attack. Lets see if they can at least make a game of it like the Convicts did when the Saffers skittled them here last season.

That was an astonishing game wasn't it; Aussies all out for 47. Lovely stuff.

Odd to think that we play 14 Tests in 2013 and all of them are against Australia or NZ!

That's good news, we are spared some of the ridiculously biased commentary from our Asian counterparts for the year.

With Hussey retiring I would hope to win at least 3 of the tests, and lose no more then one. Aus are having batting problems, Clarke aside. Watson is a bit up and down and injury prone, Warner looks good but not convinced the rest of the team. Bowlers are ok but they rotate them so not sure on who they will pick. Siddle is a def, Mitchell starc looks ok and Jackson Bird has looked good I the last two tests.
