Has someone forgotten to put a penny in the meter again?
This site is SO useful in partic when looking up stuff for SUEPA posts but I'm getting the following message on it this eve (it was working the other day):

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access / on this server.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Can others check please and if it's giving you the smae result does anyone know why it's down?
Cheers

Yep, same for me. The site is down. It's a fantastic site for looking things up, Southend results, league position, etc etc. It was saved once before when the original owner couldn't maintain it. Let's hope it's just a blip.

Feel that SZ should formally look to support this great resource. Could we help fund it, or bring it under the SZ domain if it helps with maintenance?

It’s something that has been discussed over the years. We’ve offered our help to maintain the website as it’s one of the best out there but no luck I’m afraid.

Did you manage to get in touch with Colin? (IIRC)

I like Soccerbase it's pretty accurate and holds a lot of information for all clubs for many years.

https://www.soccerbase.com/teams/team.sd?team_id=2393&season_id=151&teamTabs=results

That together with the two books with Dave Goody's stats

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Southend-United-Official-History-Blues/dp/1874427208

and Potted Shrimps

https://www.amazon.co.uk/SHRIMPS-So...shrimps&qid=1555067519&s=books&sr=1-1-catcorr

All good as far as it goes.

Soccerbase has no line-ups before 1996/97 and no goalscorers before 1993/94.

Books obviously only go so far - up to publication date.

But then after the publication date (assuming they are post 1970), you have got Rothmans/Sky Sports/ whoever sponsors it now.

The books go to 98/99 season- so there’s an opportunity for another book “History Update the next 20 years” or for someone to consolidate the whole lot.

If I had money I would gladly finance the SUFC Database site.

We have offered before to take it under our wing and help wherever possible, but to little avail I am afraid....If anybody knows Robin personally perhaps they can have a word with him to see if we can help at all.
